who we are:

Married in 1996 and the parents of two grown boys and a wonderful daughter: we’re just an average couple who took a chance and started chasing a dream.

After a failed move halfway across the country and the realization we’d made a huge mistake, we were itching for a change. So we took a leap, sold our home, went remote, and started traveling full time looking for a place to call home. But, the joke was on us when we discovered we’d rather just travel!

We started our Backpacks and Bumpers blog for a loved one who would soon be legally blind and would never be able to see the amazing places we were getting to see.

And after meeting so many amazing people on the road with the sentiment “I wish we could do what you’re doing,” our blog has become a vlog in hopes of inspiring others to take a chance and chase their dream - before it’s too late!
